About Bishop G. Emerson Scott
Bishop G. Emerson Scott is known for his charismatic trademark of boldness, spiritual vision and uncompromising determination to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
He ministers under the Holy Spirit with a captivating style of interpreting God’s divine messages directly from Orthodox Greek and Hebrew into layman’s terms that unlocks the keys to kingdom living and is relevant to his audiences. His powerful teaching and preaching style has made him an internationally sought after speaker. In Sierra Leone, West Africa, he is known as “The Fire Man” because he preaches with such electrifying fire and conviction causing people to literally leap over tables celebrating and praising God Almighty.
A native of Houston, Texas, Bishop Scott began to express spiritual gifts at an exceptionally early age. At age four, he began to sing praises to the Lord choosing song as his initial avenue to share the divine gifts and by his sixth birthday, he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
In February 1983 (age fifteen), he accepted his call to preach and within a four year span, under the divine guidance of the Lord, became pastor of his first church: Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Third Ward section of Houston. There, he served as shepherd for seven years before being guided by the Holy Spirit to organize the Trinity Fellowship Church.
His dynamic, anointed and unique style of leadership, grew his membership from ninety to over a thousand members in less than five years and led him, in 2010, to become the Senior Pastor of the Olive Branch COGIC in Houston, Texas, thus making him One Pastor with Two Denominations.
In addition to pastoring two churches, because he has a shepherd’s heart, he is blessed to be the spiritual covering for eighteen additional churches throughout the state of Texas.
Bishop Scott’s vision is to see, “… impact made through economic development“ therefore, he continues to embrace other projects with his entrepreneurial and business skills. Some of his businesses include: CEO of Emerson Enterprises, LLC which serves as the umbrella for many of his business ventures. Some of his many accomplishments include, being the founder of a recognized Texas CDC and non-profit organization with three community programs: The Virtuous Women Center, which will assist chemically dependent women who desire help in making the transition into wholesome and productive lifestyle. It will provide a place for individuals to reside with their children while receiving treatment. Stages will provide assistance to displaced men in transition. Deliver Me Daycare Center offers a safe, Christian environment for children while their parents venture unencumbered into the job marketplace.
Additionally, Bishop Scott has “the pen of a ready writer” authoring two books: True Stewardship and Tithes and Its Anointing/Offering and Its Anointing and is presently working on a third.
Some of his most requested audio tape series include, How to Touch the Invisible, How to Walk in Your Destiny, Overcoming the Way of the Gentiles, Closing the Door to Generational Curses, Fighting for the Family and Hindering Spirits.
As an anointed psalmist, he is working on a solo project that is soon to be released.
Bishop Scott also is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree from St. Thomas university.
